My Birthday

Okay, I realize now how far behind I am. So sorry for three posts in a row, but I feel like I need to catch up.

Okay, the main part of my birthday was the trip to Tulsa (see below). However, while there, Jason did take me out to Red Lobster, where we both stuffed ourselves extremely full, but I think I over did it way more than Jason did. But, hey, I only get to do that once a year, so I indulged.

Anyway, when we got back home, the girls at the house had decorated their hallway for me (since they have no other way to surprise me), so when I opened the door the next morning, I was stunned and pleasantly surprised. I think the above pictures explain most of it. That night, I opened the presents my mom sent me. She had shipped three boxes and labled them 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3 and I was to open them in that order. The very first box I opened made me laugh and Jason groan with fear. You see, this past year, my mother moved out of house we had lived in since I was in fourth grade. This meant she had to clean out my old room (even though I offically left home in 1995 to go to college and was married in 2001, it had really stayed my room-unless you ask my neice and nephew-and there were a lot "sentimental" things in there). Well, those things are slowly making it into presents-Christmas, Birthday, You are a wonderful daughter day, etc. This years box included, I kid you not, over 35 tapes!!! I just about died laughing. There were other things in there as well, but not much funnier than the tapes. The other two boxes held two beautiful giraffes to add to my quickly growing collection (maybe sometime I will show those off). Jason also ordered me some puzzle books to keep me busy when I get bored.

Overall, I had a great birthday. However, I have become somewhat senstive about my age and I really didn't expect that.

Don't be sensitive about your age, Ginger! 31 is FABULOUS!! Think about it: You are now an established grown up; you have that much more of your life sentence in this fallen world under your belt; you can say things like, "When I was a kid", around older people and they won't mock your current youth.
Getting old is the best thing that can happen to a believer.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GINGER!!!
I love you much
