I thought it was really strange to finally have two kids in drivers ed. Now they have started the behind the wheel portion! AHHHHHH!!!!!! Actually, they both drove two hours on Monday night, but SS was not able to drive last night because she left her wallet on a teacher's desk at school and someone stole her money and permit. So, it is going to cost $10.00 to replace the permit as well as $10.00 for each time that she had signed up to drive but can't. Costing her a grand total of $30.00-ouch! To say the least, she is not dealing very well with the natural consequneces of irresponsibility. MS is extremely terrified to be behind the wheel. SS observed her last night and said she almost had 3 heart attacks in one hour. Even MS says she is not comfortable behind the wheel. I am so glad I am not a drivers ed instructor.
KK has made a turn around. We were able to get her some medical help and I think it is working. She does not have to try as hard as before to make the right choice and seems to be a little happier most of the time.
SM was supposed to be going on a choir trip in April, but it does not look like she is going to be able to go because of grades. I am not sure how the home is going to handle that one.
MB is struggling with her school behavior. She is all over the board-talking, leaving class, copying from someone. Hopefully she will get it under control soon.
MR continuest do well, especially in school. I think she will make A/B Honor Roll this six weeks.
KR has had a rough week emtionally. This week marks the anniversary date for her mother's passing and she has been very focused on that. All the girls have been very supportive of her.
LF had her first track meet on Saturday. It was at her school, so even though Jason and I were off duty, we were there at 9 a.m. It was cold and rainy for the entire track meet, which lasted all of about an hour until they cancelled it due to hail and thunderstorms. Nice, huh?
Well, that is all for now. Have a good one!
